Safety Management II

Course Description:
Advance your knowledge and begin applying practical tools for implementing and evaluating safety management systems in Safety Management II, the second course in the three-part ASSP Safety Management Certificate series.
Building on the principles from Safety Management I, this course helps you strengthen and operationalize your safety efforts. You’ll work through interactive activities and discussions designed to deepen your ability to:
- Evaluate and select safety management system models for your organization
- Implement performance metrics and leading indicators that improve decision-making
- Measure and monitor your system's effectiveness
- Enhance safety performance through training, communication, leadership, and ethical practices
Earn the ASSP Safety Management Certificate
This course is part of the Safety Management Certificate Program offered by the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).
To earn your certificate, you must complete all three required courses within two years:
- Safety Management I (October 1–3, 2025)
- Safety Management II (January 12–13, 2026)
- Corporate Safety Management (April 6–8, 2026)
This certificate is ideal for professionals who are:
- New to safety management roles
- Expanding their OSH responsibilities
- Seeking to enhance their leadership and technical skills in safety program development and execution
