Description
This hands-on training program provides the skills, certifications, and real-world experience needed to enter the skilled trades. Whether you are new to construction or looking to build a stronger foundation, PACT prepares you for long-term career opportunities throughout Hawai‘i.
Free for qualified individuals.
This cohort takes place in Waimānalo and is tailored for Windward Oahu residents. Training will be held at Windward Community College and The Friends of Waimānalo facilities.
Program Highlights
• Comprehensive introduction to construction methods, materials, and safe work practices
• OSHA 30 certification, a widely recognized safety credential
• Hands-on carpentry training focused on tool use, measurements, and basic building techniques
• CPR and First Aid certification for jobsite readiness
• Job readiness training, including communication, teamwork, and employability skills
• Industry-recognized credentials upon completion that support entry into apprenticeships and construction roles
