Description
Falls are one of the leading causes of injury and death on construction job sites. This awareness-level course introduces participants to the essential concepts and practices of fall hazard recognition and prevention. Designed for workers, supervisors, and safety-conscious teams, the course emphasizes how to create safer job sites through informed decision-making and adherence to OSHA standards.
You will learn how to:

Recognize common fall hazards, including unprotected edges, floor openings, and scaffolds

Understand OSHA regulations and when fall protection is required

Identify appropriate fall prevention systems such as guardrails, personal fall arrest, warning lines, and safety monitoring systems

Prevent injuries from falling tools and materials

Conduct basic inspections of fall protection equipment and systems

Understand employer responsibilities in fall hazard training and protection
