Cynthia Yamasaki is the Outreach and Marketing Specialist for the SBA Hawaii District office. She has over 3 decades of business experience, working in a variety of leadership roles in the corporate and nonprofit sectors. Cynthia has a multi-faceted background as a small business owner and served as the director of the Patsy T. Mink Center for Business and Leadership where she established the center and its small business curriculum. She has held senior management roles in human resources, leadership development, finance, and banking. Cynthia is a well-known business coach and advocate, roles that have earned numerous accolades and awards in the community.

Wayne Wong is a “recovering technologist” with over 30 years of Information Technology experience. He currently utilizes his entrepreneur expertise as the Director of the Hawaii Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Maui Center, enabling small businesses to succeed.
Hawaii Small Business Development Center (HiSBDC) is an SBA partner, providing no-cost business advice, technical assistance and training in the State of Hawaii. Responding to the significant economic impact of COVID-19, HiSBDC is a resource for Small Businesses; not just accessing CARES Relief assistance but developing actionable business adaptations to survive and thrive the new economy.
Mr. Wong graduated from Kamehameha High Schools (Kapālama), holds a BS degree from the University of Washington and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Puget Sound.
