2017 DPP E-Plans Workshop
Description
“E-Plans” Training Workshop
Presented by:
Department of Planning & Permitting (DPP) & BIA-Hawaii

DPP Personnel is scheduling training workshops on the processing of permit applications and the review of electronic permit plans using the latest version of “E-Plans” plan review system. The DPP E-Plans program has been updated and is expanding. The training will provide both introductory and advanced instructions on how to submit, access, review, and manage permit plans.
Topics Include:
- ePlans - Overview (New or First Time Users)
- Intermediate (Current or Active Users)
- New Online Permits

Meet The Presenters:
Ken Schmidt

Mr. Schmidt has been managing the development of the City’s GIS for 23 years and has for over 14 years administered the development and operations of the City’s Permit Management Tracking System known as POSSE. He is a graduate of Texas State University with a B. A. degree in Geography. He was recognized in 2011 as the City’s Manager of the Year and with the City’s GIS program, he has received several recognitions both locally and nationally. He is currently overseeing the deployment of the new “ePlan” system.
Mark Leoncio

Mark has over 16 years of experience with the Site Development Division analyzing and bridging engineering review, permitting, and inspections with technology. Mark has worked as a civil engineer with focus on site grading and construction within public right-of-ways, as well as administering ePlans for construction plans review. Recently, as a GIS Analyst with the Honolulu Land Information System since 2015, he now supports both the POSSE and Honolulu ePlans systems as well as worked on the migration and deployment of new hardware and applications for mobile inspections, the recent upgrade of the ePlans system, and the installation of additional Building permit types online.
