This Silica Awareness course is designed to educate workers, supervisors, and safety professionals on the risks of respirable crystalline silica exposure in the workplace. Participants will learn how to identify silica-containing materials, understand the dangers of inhaling silica dust, and implement safe work practices that align with OSHA standards.
Exposure to respirable crystalline silica can lead to serious long-term health issues such as lung cancer, silicosis, and other respiratory conditions. This course provides practical guidance on hazard recognition, control measures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent harmful exposures on job sites.
