The Losch family has faced many challenges along the way, including the COVID-19 pandemic, transportation delays, and a labor shortage. As a result, they have been physically split in half, with Keala and their daughter living with his parents and Tracie and her daughter living with her parents. BIA Hawaii has helped them by providing support in materials and labor from many construction industry businesses.
