In November 2017, BIA-Hawaii held its annual housing summit and aio Founder and Chairman, Duane Kurisu participated to discuss his Foundation's efforts to construct the private/public partnership project: Kahauiki Village. This remarkable project, a plantation-style village, opened to homeless families earlier this year. Now, six months later, where is the project headed? Join us for an informative presentation on the future of Kahauiki Village. Find out where the project is headed and how it can inform decisions as we all face the challenges brought about by homelessness and housing shortages. Mel Kaneshige, Project Developer and consultant on the project will present and lunch will be served. $50 for members and $60 for non-members and walk-ins. Members may also participate with table top presentations by contacting Cathleen Langin. Table tops are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
