DESCRIPTION:We're excited to offer another free\, OSHA-compliant community training opportunity for HEMIC policyholders\, family\, and friends. This one-day\, two-topic training is presented in partnership with BIA Construction Training Center (O ahu) and SWA (Sustainable Workplace Alliance). Participants may attend one or both sessions.\n\n \n\nAt HEMIC\, our mission goes beyond providing workers' compensation coverage - we're committed to helping Hawai i employers prevent injuries before they happen. This no-cost training is part of HEMIC's ongoing loss-prevention and risk-management support for our policyholders and the Hawai i business community\, while building relationships with other businesses to provide quality safety training.\n\n \n\nTraining Topics & What Will Be Covered\n\n \n\n4-Hour Fall Protection Training\n\nThis session will cover:\n\n OSHA fall protection standards and employer responsibilities\n Identifying fall hazards in construction and general industry\n Proper use\, inspection\, and limitations of fall protection systems\n Harnesses\, anchorage points\, guardrails\, and ladders\n Best practices for preventing fall-related injuries and fatalities\n\n \n\n4-Hour Confined Space Training\n\nThis session will cover:\n\n\n OSHA definitions and classifications of confined spaces\n Permit-required vs. non-permit-required confined spaces\n Hazard identification (atmospheric\, engulfment\, physical hazards)\n Roles and responsibilities of entrants\, attendants\, and supervisors\n Entry procedures\, air monitoring\, ventilation\, and emergency response\n\nTrainer: SeaRay Beltra\, STS-C\, TCS\, CST\, CEST\, CESCO\, BOC-I\, and FSP with PIRM group\n\nProlife: https://www.linkedin.com/in/searay-beltran/\n\n \n\nWith over 33 years of safety related consultation\, inspections\, and training in\n\nHawaiian Islands\, Mainland\, Guam\, NMI\, Micronesia\, Philippines\, Korea\, and Costa\n\nRica.
